JURIST: The Legal Education Network
JURIST: The Legal Education Network (jurist.law.pitt.edu) is the Internet's legal education portal.
Dubbed "the wonderful legal education mega-site" by the New York Times, and "probably the best educational portal on the Internet" by Technology Source journal, JURIST serves legal scholars, lawyers and the public by providing quality-controlled resources and ongoing coverage of the latest developments in legal education, law teaching, legal research, legal news, and world law. Established in 1996, JURIST's multi-award-winning home site at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law is the hub of an international JURIST network that has online affiliates at the law faculties of Cambridge University (JURIST UK), the University of Toronto (JURIST Canada), Macquarie University in Sydney (JURIST Australia), and the New University of Lisbon (JURIST EU and JURIST Portugal). JURIST has legal correspondents in another 30 countries, from Angola to Yugoslavia, and is published in special academic editions for over 110 US law schools. Entirely non-commercial and non-profit, the JURIST network is directed by its founder, University of Pittsburgh School of Law professor (and Canadian ex-patriate) Bernard Hibbitts, supported by a highly-dedicated group of Pitt law students and volunteer faculty from law schools around the world.
